Captain Morgan's Last Kip

Capt. Henry Morgan
Aye, listen lads. Me have's a tale to spin to ye, just in from Nassau. Our esteemed brother of the sea, Captain Henry Morgan has gone on account with a crew of Buccaneers as of August 1, 1670 on the good kings flagship due for San Lorenzo. but aye, the good Captain met resistance at the Castle of the river entrance of Chagres.
Map Of Panama Bay

After three fights with the Spaniards, and a lot of men sent to the locker; he captured the beachhead and flew English colors. After a spell of time January 28, 1671, the good Captain made his march after traversing the jungles of Panama, to find Don Juan Perez de Guzmans' men, and munitions had been well prepared for Morgans arrival. Now sounds like an uphill battle lads but the Captain was smart as Smart as a Shark and strong as a Whale. He re-positioned his bucko's into making Don Juan think they were retreating which led to a full assault from the Spanish. It gave Morgans vanguard of french Buccaneers the edge needed to send the Spanish to the locker. On and on they came and the bucko's blew them down.

Don Juan had a trick up his sleeve though lads. Two herds of oxen flooded the battlefield with black riders looming in on them but to no avail the buccaneers forced them back into the city and advanced in to claim the final victory. The Spanish had one last card to play and it came down to torching munitions inside of the buildings and the use of slaves setting fire to the surrounding buildings.
Burning Of Panama City
The day was fought hard and seldom good but the city was taken and plunder was to be gathered. It was noted that he plundered 175 Mules, loaded with coin and silver and slaves with numbers in the hundreds. Unfortunately the report came that the plunder only came to 30,000.This did not set well with the lads, to even learn that the good King Charles II had a peace agreement with the queen of Spain. Morgans patron Sir Thomas Modyford had no commission to give sanction to this expedition. Now in April, 1672 Captain Morgan was brought in by the powers that be due to increased piracy in Spanish waters, and he awaited a fate unknown among him or his friends and in which he now lives a life as lieutenant governor. Aye, lads the once pretender to our cause has become a gentleman as true as his stripes are blue.
